God has always wanted to be near us, in the Garden of Eden He was there in the middle of the Garden talking to the first created human being. However, when sin entered the world, man was thrown out of the garden and the presence of God could not be had as before. Many years later when God takes his people out of Egypt he entrusts his servant Moses with the creation of the ark. Now through the ark the people of God would have the presence of God always in their midst. When David began to reign he had a concern, and was to bring this ark to his city as it is written in 2 Samuel 6 12-23. This story of David shows us 4 signs of someone who is really passionate about the presence of God.

The passionate wants to be close to his passion
David now a very famous king, had everything he wanted, but when he tried to bring the ark of Jehovah for the first time he did not succeed. This bothered David. He had everything within his reach but his passion itself is far away. He wanted the presence of God close to him in his city.
The sign of someone who is really passionate about the presence of God is that he always wants to be close to Him. He is always at the door clamoring to enter closer to his presence.
The passionate has no problem sacrificing
God is so passionate for us that he made the ultimate sacrifice for us, delivering his only begotten Son for us on the cross. It is doubtful when someone says that they are passionate about someone and do not sacrifice for such a person. The normal thing when a boy is in love and full of passion for a girl is that he sacrifices many things for her. If we are really passionate about God, we have no problems in sacrificing for his presence. As the apostle Paul tells us in Galatians 2:20; With Christ I am crucified together, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me; and what I now live in the flesh, I live in the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Tell me how great is your sacrifice and I will say how great is your passion.
The passionate expresses
The Bible tells us that David danced and jumped with all his strength, there was music everywhere. This leads us to understand that it is impossible to be passionate without one expressing oneself. Can you imagine the cults in the church where everyone is full of passion for God? No doubt the cults would be different.
The passion is seen in the look, in the smile and in the gestures. When someone is passionate about someone else it is extremely difficult to hide their passion. When this person sees his passion, the look changes, the heart begins to beat hard.
Does your strong heart beat today for God? Dare to express your passion!
The passionate ignores those who criticize his passion
Michal David's wife began to belittle David for his passion for the presence of God. She thought that a king like David should not be dancing with the people in this way. He had to maintain his greatness and position as king. But David's response to this criticism of Michal was clear, he let it be known, that this was just the beginning. That in the presence of God he has no glory, he is simply passionate.
When we really begin to be passionate about God many will say that we are fanatics, too emotional. But the reality is that we are simply passionate about God.
