God did not give us the spirit of fear, but of sound mind. We are created to do great things and one of the ways to achieve that is been strong! We have to be strong to face the challenges of life....fear only makes things worse. And that is why we can find "Do not be afraid" 365 times in the bible...meaning one for each day.
