“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.”
Romans 8:14 NKJV
The scripture above is heavy, as it suggests that whosoever is not leading a Spirit led life, is not likely to be a son of God. The matter of being led therefore must be considered seriously. The low level expression of Christianity that abounds commonly, suggests that most are not being led, and by the scripture above it means that churches are filled by folks who are not sons of God.
Many of us, like the Israelites of old, would rather have a Moses face the fires of His presence, and relay His messages to us. God is finished with that arraignment, now He wants all His children to come close, in personal relationships with Him. Yes, our Father’s presence is fearsome and awesome, but we are sons, and His Spirit dwell in us.
Meditate on this scripture, “For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The word abba, is a Syriac term expressing warm affection and filial confidence. It therefore is more than a word, it is a loving attitude to a doting Father. Yes, God is very lavish and attentive to us, He wants us to be bold, as sons in His presence. The Spirit led life therefore should be fun filled and adventurous. It is a beloved son going to his father and asking “ what next Papa?”
Chase out fear, put on sonship, be bold and free in your asking, be the child you are, and He will lead you into the very center of His will.
So Good! ;)
