Love & marriage 22

Every Sunday I will share something out of the BIble about marriage.

God initiated marriage. He made Adam but He saw that something was missing. He said that it was not good that man is alone and He created Eve from Adam's rib.

God then took the woman He made as a helper and companion to Adam.

A marriage becomes legally binding in a church or court of law. But it only becomes a physical bond at that moment when the act of love binds you together, becoming one flesh. If the act of love took place before the legal marriage then you were actually married at that moment when you first made love.

In the beginning of the Bible, there were no marriage ceremonies.
Genesis 24: 67 "Then Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent; and he took Rebekah and she became his wife, and he loved her. So Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death."

I just love this verses below in Ecclesiastes. It speaks about how two people together will be better off than one alone.
