Be An Oak (Original Work)

Good morning Friday.....
Father, Your Commandments are a Lamp to our feet. Help us to live aware, to choose wisely, to stay close to You, and anchored in Your Truth! Thank You for Your Great Love and Mercy. Thank You that You wait for us and You strengthen us. We come to You today, choosing to walk in Your Presence and Light.

Be An Oak - Living Parables

We as believers have made the choice, and now accept Christ to dwell within us. We have all the ability, power, and presence to be stable in this fallen, violent, chaotic, and fragmented world. We are to be like a deeply rooted and strong oak tree.

When we take a look at a tree we see it is a great picture of strength and stability. Yeshua (Jesus) often used the illustration of a tree to describe one of His followers. A follower that is living and prospering amidst the challenges of this life. Jesus made the tree to be an amazing creation and incredibly strong. No one would want to drive their car into an Oak Tree... because The Oak would always win.

Think about this: When a storm comes, the top of an oak or most trees can bend in the wind because it's flexible. The way we should be as believers... rooted in place, but able to move with the wind. The tree may lose some branches and leaves, but what doesn't change is that the trunk is stable and strong. When the wind blows through the tree it pulls on the root system and gives it a nice workout. If the tree endures the storm, as they usually do, the tree now has an even more fortified root system and trunk. The storm made it stronger! Can you see where this is going?

We each are like a tree. Every storm we go through, we will endure because Christ is in us. Everything we face, we will press through. We can never give up. We must "fight the good fight." As long as we don't give up, curl up and die, we will endure with faith, but without fear. Why? Because Christ Lives in us! And with each storm.... we will only get stronger! Not only that... we are also much more prepared for that next storm! He is The Bread That Came Down From Heaven That Gives Eternal Life! 🔥

Ephesians 4:1-13:

“I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, One faith, One baptism; One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore He says: “When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men.” (Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.) And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;”
Prayer:

Dear Father God, We are Your Deeply Rooted Trees. Help us to be Your Oaks Trees. Help us grow deep roots in Your Word. We grow stronger in You with each passing storm in our lives, and we thank You for this wonderful gift. Thank You for Your Amazing Love and Grace. Thank You for teaching Your Powerful Messages even through the trees outside our house. Bless You. Praise You. The Mightiest Oak You ever made was The Greatest Gift Ever Given to mankind... Your Mighty Son Yeshua, Jesus Christ... Who is One With You. It is in His Name we pray, Father. Amen.
