The works of the people in the Bible are tremendous. The Bible itself is a historical textbook, and both a guide to life and salvation. The Bible is brutally honest, with no loop holes to sin. It makes no excuses. Disciples and apostles wrote of their sins and imperfections. The Bible is full of accounts of the sin of people, and the mercy and forgiveness that both God and Jesus had upon them. God gave His only son to the world and Jesus gave up his life for us. Jesus then prevailed and rose from the dead, showing the people that He lives now and forever. His resurrection gave Him the opportunity to show the people that God is giving them another chance because of the life Jesus so selflessly gave up on the cross. People doubt, people fear. But we cannot pretend like hope, faith, and love does not get us through life. Without these things, the world would be completely evil and in ruins. So what about faith, hope, and love makes a person weak? Believing in something we can’t see? Believing based on the Bible, that a higher power that is God exists? The assumption that such a belief is weak when it is based on spiritual experiences, extraordinary prayers granted and the historical textbook that is the Bible makes no logical sense. The assumption that science is the strongest reasoning when it comes to God when it can only test so much and never actually measure a God, belief that nothing could have created this universe, and ruling out a possibility because you cannot see it is extremely debatable. Science is based on “fact”. Fact that only we can measure. That’s what we have ruled for determining a fact. But what if we cannot always measure something that may indeed exist? How do we then test it? We test it with faith, a spiritual measurement. It specifically says that in the bible, faith is required to experience God.
Hebrews 11:6 “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
We cannot approach God any way we want to and expect results. We have to do it the Bible’s way, since that is how we came to know of His works. It specifically says that He rewards those who seek Him with faith. So how can we expect for Him to come to us if we don’t first come to Him? And when we do approach the matter, say something along the lines of “If he exists, why doesn’t he just show himself?” That’s what Jesus did years ago and He was crucified because of people’s lack of faith and hatred. Sight is not what allows people to believe in God, it is faith. Accounts by even non-Christians were made of Jesus’s existence. Roman historian Tacitus reported on Emperor Nero’s decision to blame Christians for the destruction of Rome in A.D. 64:
"Nero fastened the guilt … on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of … Pontius Pilatus, and a most mischievous superstition, thus checked for the moment, again broke out not only in Judaea, the first source of the evil, but even in Rome…"
The authenticity of this passage is apparent. It’s anti-Christian tone and choice of words is extremely unlikely to have been written by a Christian. Tacitus was a historian known for his reliable and objective work.
It is clear that science is limited. We can only test things that is in the grasp of our physical reality and psychological understanding. At one point, humans believed the Earth was flat. When they heard of the idea that the Earth could be round, they deemed it impossible. Science proved otherwise. We have considered the possibility of life on other planets and are still trying to figure out if it is indeed possible. Scientists have banded together to send a message to Gliese 581c, an exoplanet a whopping 20 light years away from the Earth that is expected to reach the planet in the year of early 2029. What if the ideas that are out of our physical reach, more specifically the existence of God, can be tested right in our very selves? Wouldn’t this be enough proof for anyone? If answers can come directly to you out of the measurement of faith, why wouldn’t you test it? God is out of your physical grasp, but if it can be tested with psychological perseverance, proof coming within a form of changes and milestones in your life based on what you pray for out of faith, wouldn’t this be enough? These questions have yet to be answered by many who have never once prayed or come to God with faith, the only way to access His presence.
Ephesians 6:16 says “In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.” The evil one, also know as the Devil, is said to attack people’s faith and attempts to blind them of the truth through their minds. The spiritual side of things, despite billions of people who are involved in spiritual practices are dismissed completely by science. If science were to accept that spirituality does in fact exist, then that means we would have to be open to the possibility of a God, which science rules out since it does indeed hold barriers that doesn’t always guarantee correct answers. The separation of God and science are due to scientists’ inability to test or measure a God, which would make science the unreliable source when it comes to finding out whether a God does indeed exist. Before dismissing what is essentially the most powerful being above us all, we have to understand that science is only so powerful and useful in certain instances, not every one. If we confine ourselves to a certain standard of beliefs that are only due to its inability to test matters out of its reach, we will never be able to find out for ourselves through the spiritual measurement that is faith, which is the only way of finding out if He indeed exists. Algorithms, satellites in space, nor a dismissiveness will give us answers. The experiment of God is measured through faith. The conclusion that nonbelievers have that God does not exist comes from a sensical perspective of measurement, the world around them, and their lack of faith that a higher power could indeed exist when in reality it is only faith, that can grant them God’s presence according to the Bible. The conclusion that true believers have that God exists comes from faith, which then creates transformations of lost individuals into righteous and joyous ones, as well as granted prayers that come in many forms of cured illnesses and miraculous changes.
Matthew 17:20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” In this verse, Jesus reveals that God will show His power when we truly believe and have faith in Him. Without faith, we will never be able to find out. If we were to see God or Jesus right now, we would still hold doubt in our mind and hearts. The concept of someone bigger than ourselves may seem extremely hard to grasp. There are planets, suns, and galaxies bigger than ours but at one point people did not know this nor did they believe it. Those are several things we never thought could exist, and we discovered their existence through science. But science is only so powerful. How can we expect to figure out if a God exists through science if science in it’s entirety is the wrong approach? The Bible specifically says that faith is the only way to His presence. Faith is the only measurement. Through following the word of the Bible, we can develop faith and find out for ourselves. To understand a God, you must not be blind to the possibilities, and through faith your mind will be opened.
1 Peter 5:8 “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”

Wow. You covered a lot in this post. Also, did not expect an article on faith, science, and Christ after a makeup post. Haha. Well done @emittt!
