Proverbs 4:26 (KJV)
For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
The Bible says in Hebrews 10:35 (KJV)
Cast not away therefore your confidence which hath great recompence of reward.
Many take this scripture to mean... Be confident and the Lord will reward. I used to think this, but it wasn't until I read Proverbs and found Grace in confidence that I really got it.
I used to teach in business classes about confidence and how it leads to the reward of recompence. Although the confidence leads to reward, recompence, or compensation it's really all about where and how to get confidence.
We need the confidence because we need our recompence. We as business owners desire riches, and in our lives it is basically a need. Our vision is so strong & we have dreams to impact the world.
John 6:29 Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent."
The confidence we need to realize this sweet dream of wealth, fun, and making it to heaven is freely given to us From Jesus this is what Proverbs 4:26 says...
"The Lord shall be your confidence"
His mercy allows us to move and be successful.
He is the vine and we are the branches without Him we can do nothing, but in Him we can do all things. John 15:5, Phillipians 4:13
Jesus does more than just rah at us saying, "You can do it." No... True Grace empowerment is Jesus being faithful to His word and being our confidence.
Our confidence doesn't come from the Lord....
Our confidence IS the Lord Himself!
He is our confidence! Amen to that :)
It is only Him, His inspiration, His Grace, His Kindness, And His Love that stregthen us. Because These things are Jesus Himself.
Jesus is called Emmanuel, meaning God with us. The Lord Jesus Christ is with you. He is your confidence.
So when you need confidence today, remember the Lord is thy confidence. Read Proverbs 4:26, Then Hebrews 10:35, Then Ephesians 2:8, Then finish off by reading Phillipians 4:13.
These scriptures create strong affirmations that stick to your ribs. Jesus is help for you. Your help in a way where you have a friend that sticks closer than a brother.
"1 Peter 5:7 (NIV) Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
May God Richly Bless You,
