OPPORTUNITIES ABOUND

Today’s world is currently facing unemployment crisis – a crummy economy where jobs are very scare. It is alarming that even graduates with higher qualifications are caught in the web of laziness just because there is no job for them to do out there. As a result of this unpleasant situation, many people have been thrown into debilitating depression, hopelessness and frustration.

However, in order to avoid the trauma caused by unemployment, there is need for you to look inward and think of other things you can do, while applying for some white collar jobs. Time is precious! You can’t continue to waste your precious time all because you’re looking for the job that fits your qualifications, skills and experience. Opportunities abound everywhere! The fact that you can’t get a job that suits your qualification and experience is not an excuse to be idle. God hates idleness because He expects you to live a productive life.

Understand that you have potentials; God has endowed you with natural abilities to excel in life. Therefore, the scarcity of jobs around the world may just be an opportunity for you to maximize your potentials and create your own job. This is why you don’t have to wait endlessly hunting for a job that is uncertain. This will only limit you, drain your motivation and energy, and waste your precious time. So look inward! Look around! Discover a need in your community, and see how you can meet that need. This will help to give meaning and satisfaction to your life.

There are opportunities everywhere, though they may be hidden from your plain view. Yet, you need to recognize and follow the visible clues that will lead you to them. You can create your own opportunity by acquiring entrepreneurship skills, which can help to bring your vision or dream to life or get necessary training on skills that will help you to carry out a trade or business successfully.

The opportunities are in different forms, from agriculture, manufacturing, construction, transportation, to communication. You can choose to venture into any of these: fish farming, fruits processing, garri production, poultry, turkey farm, palm products (broom, basket, tooth pick etc.); baby oil, and jelly production, baby items shop; biscuits production, bottle water production, bread making, fast food center, packed rice sale, ice block, ice cream production, palm oil production, popcorn making, restaurant operation;

Nursery/primary/secondary school operation, day care center, extra-mural lesson, organizing seminars, computer school, school bag production; barbing salon, hand purses/wallet production, tailoring services, hair cream production; dye production, soap/ dish washing detergent production, handset production, recharge card sales, SIM pack sales; block making, car wash, carpentry, clock repair, laundry/ dry cleaning, photo studio, plumbing work, welding work, vulcanizing, babysitting/ daycare provider, freelance writing, tutoring, transcription, editing, App designing, video production, pet sitting/ pet grooming, interior designing, catering events planning etc.

It might interest you to know that some of these works require little or no capital at all. And you can begin small. That you have no degree or financial support is not an excuse to stay idle. God wants you to use your strength, your intelligence, your vision, your gifts and all that He’s given you to do something that will profit you and make life more comfortable for you. So rise up and get something doing with your hands and be passionate about it.

Having something to do will not only make you useful to yourself, but also to your family, the society and the nation at large.

I love the positivity of this article. Turning problems into opportunities. That was something my father taught me. He described problems as 'opportunities in working clothes', which I believe he borrowed from Zig Ziglar.

Thank you!
Wow that's nice.

You are on cause dear.

thank you
