The Purpose of Home Churches.
Home Churches are not an end in themselves. They serve as an instrument in the hand of God to bring many blessings to the people of God. They also serve the purpose of the church to bring a deeper meaning to fellowship, friendship, relationship and discipleship.
The purpose of a home church is to create a Christian atmosphere of fellowship with each other and God – as they try to live in the community, social, secular and business.
To get all of them to let the Light of Jesus Christ shine through them in order to touch lives around them on a daily basis.
To bring each person to the feet of Jesus in love and fellowship – within the Body – the church – helping them, teaching them and guiding them to walk in His Steps.
The purpose of Home Church is to help people:
• To get to know Jesus better.
• To learn how to share Jesus with one another.
• To challenge believers to share Jesus with the lost.
• To learn how to enjoy Christian fellowship.
• To learn how to care for one another.
• To evangelize through the Home Church and it’s people.
• To develop relationships.
• To develop leadership.
• To allow for leaders to emerge and learn.
• To provide warm, deep fellowship and friendship.
• To provide a sense of belonging.
• To allow for questions to be asked and answered.
• To encourage hospitality.
• To encourage spontaneity among members.
• To involve people in edifying each other.
• To provide opportunity for inner healing and space for people.
• To teach people to pray in public.
• To encourage people to pray for one another.
• To enjoy application of Bible Study together.
• To encourage the talents of each person to come out to the fullest.
This list is endless. So much can be done for and through the Home Cells.
