When Peter got out of the boat was he walking on the water or the word? The water was there the whole time that they had seen Jesus, but it wasn't until Peter had Jesus give him a word..."come" that he got out of the boat. That is why Jesus rebuked Peter for his lack of faith, for Peter's faith was not in the ability of the water to hold him up but rather in the word Jesus had given him to keep him afloat. Blessings!
