There's a lot to it, and it's only going to get more sophisticated...
So instead of continuing to drill techie stuff into your brain,
let's take a detour today...
Everyone always says what a huge breath of fresh air it is to find out that we focus heavily on self-development as well as technical mastery.
Now focus on this... we encourage reading.
We'd like to actually give you a book review from a book our community has recently finished...
"How to Win Friends and Influence People"
by Dale Carnegie.
While many have been told to read this book, only a few took it to heart.
Here's the main points we've learned:
1. Smile. If you're having a bad day we encourage you to try this drill...
Force a smile on that face of yours... A true smile, ear to ear. Hold the
smile in place for 60 seconds. We can assure you, it will change your
mood. Try it... we dare you!
2. Ask quality questions. A quote that struck us... "The quality of your
life is determined by the quality of questions you ask".
Take your work position...
Why aren't you earning the amount of money you deserve?
You're certainly capable, wouldn't you agree? Instead of griping about the boss behind her back, perhaps you should be asking yourself what you can do to move ahead or better yet, make a change to your situation so you don't get stuck with the income you're making for the rest of your days.
3. Actions speak louder than words. What makes you happy?
Accomplishment and recognition? This phrase, "actions speak louder
than words" is verified by Maslow's hierarchy of needs as being the 3rd most important human element. In our world, it's much better to have to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission.
Stay positive. Take action.
Become the person you deserve to be!
