CAPTION: FINISH WELL
TEXT: 1Corinthians 9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
It’s better to start a race poorly and yet finish it well, than to have a great start but a woeful ending. A lot of Church Leaders, Ministers and believers are falling all because of worldly things, they start well but divert from their area of concentration along the way all because of what they saw that won’t last long.
Have you ever thought of this? You can’t chew something for long without eventually swallowing it – Meaning that you staying on earth is just a matter of time, you would soon have to depart, no matter how much you love this earth. Therefore, find things doing in the vineyard of God that God will know you for it. Start well so you can end well.
Romans 12:1 Therefore I exhort you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a sacrifice alive, holy, and pleasing to God which is your reasonable service.
Some started well but all because of challenges or one thing or the other they missed their way. Revelations spoken by a prophet of God concerning them couldn’t come to pass because they have missed it in their trajectory. Many things can divert your attention – love of money, pride, flesh, lust, and so on. Do your best to finish well. You don’t know when the time will come when you will stand in front of your Creator. Ask for the grace to finish well, eyes are on you. And whatsoever you write before you leave determines what people will say when you are gone, and it also determines where you eventually end up.
