TEMPLE THOUGHTS Proverbs 20 4steemCreated with Sketch.

The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing.

A sluggard is an idle, slothful fella. I met a guy a few years ago who does qualify for that title. He was an unsuccessful metal fabricator when we met, then he learnt printing, drumming, driving and later told me he felt called to the ministry and wants to attend a bible school. I don't know what my guy is learning now in his search for the sweat less occupation. Alas, time is passing by slowly. When we met, he was a dashing young man, now his head is showing flashes of gray. One day, winter will ask you what you did with summer.

Our churches are full of folks praying for financial breakthrough. Oils are being poured on heads and handkerchiefs are being anointed but I hope we all know, that prayer can not replace plowing and piety is not in enmity with purposeful labor.

God blesses His children by giving them sanctified ideas to profit with, and the sweat of the pursuit is blessed in good harvest. Please pray for ideas, pray for God's blessings on your sweat, let the man with a job pray for another stream of income, let our house keeping sisters pray for cottage businesses. They say there is a recession but I say it's a season of blessings.

All you lay your hands on, shall prosper.

Amen! You don't work, ya don't eat! Idle hands cannot bless much. Dreams require action to come to fruition.
