KJV:And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.(Rom. 12:2, James 1:13-15)
Introduction
If your Christian life, you have not yet learned how to discipline your mind to conform to the will of God, you cannot know that perfect will of God for your life. So many Christians struggle through life with negative attitudes, sin, failures, divorce, depression and wonder why it is happening to them. Some are trying to explain already their life style of defeat, and blame on the sovereign God. The fact is that they are still conforming to the world, because their minds have not been disciplined to be renewed, they cannot prove the good, acceptable and perfect will of God in their lives. The lesson
- You should stop blaming God when you fall into temptation (James 1:13-15)
Why?
It is not only when your mind is disciplined to be renewed to the word of God that you can overcome negative desires and live God's perfect will.
take note:
a. You cannot not receive forgiveness except you renew your mind to turn away from that sin.
b. You should not continue to conform to the fashion of the world and then expect forgiveness from God.
c. You should discipline your mind to walk with God and prove, display and be example of his will.
- But take note, it is easy to blame others and make excuses for evil thought and wrong actions. Excuses include :
a. Nobody is perfect
b. It's the other person's fault
c. It was just a mistake
d. I couldn't help it
e. Everybody is doing it
With all the above excuses you cannot be exonerated from punishment except you discipline your mind and be willing to change from them.
Conclusion
You must accept responsibility for your wrongs. Confess them, and ask God to forgive you. He will surely forgive you.
