What Does A Beautiful Sunset Make You Think About? Psalm 19:1 - Soulful Sunday by A Panama Mama

Psalm 19:1

The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

Isn't this a beautiful picture? It was a sunset the other night that I shot from our porch. This is the volcano near our town named Baru. The colors were just amazing, I had to stop and admire it. Then it made me think of this Bible verse that reminds us that even the heavens declare the glory of God. It truly makes me wonder how people can look at beauty all around them - flowers, animals, humans - and not believe in a Creator. This is not all an accident, but a way for God to make himself known. If the heavens look like this when they declare the glory of God, I wonder what it looks like to Him when we also declare his glory.

Thank you, @apanamamama,

I Oh, so often! wonder the very same thing!

How can anyone look at Jesus' glory in his creation and not put two and two together? Not fall in worshipful wonder? Deep, deep sigh...

Thanks for this beautiful photo today and for the very thoughtful description and discussion! :D

@creatr

Thank you for your comment! I also think it's crazy that people have to go somewhere "magical" to see God's glory in nature - Colorado, Hawaii, etc. If they just look around at home, they can see it, but you have to sometimes search for it in some areas! :)

nice view for a #beautifulsunday sunset.

Thanks! It was exceptionally beautiful that day. Normally the volcano is hidden by rain clouds in the evening, but we're about to come into dry season so I wonder if these type of sunsets will be come routine.

You're welcome.

@apanamamama, A beautiful sunset reminds me that God paints an incredible picture he wants us to explore. I need to make it to Panama to shop in the farmers market you have there!

Yes so true! You do need to come down for the markets...and all the other fun stuff around here. :)

A beautiful sunrise or sunset makes me feel extremely joyous! I've read a lot and I know scientists can just explain away how a sunset happens and why and what's in the atmosphere that causes the colors, but that's not important to me! It just reminds me of our wonderful God who created the world!

Thanks for the comment! Yes, it is great how sunsets can remind us of God and how He created the world. :)
