I think it's really foolish to pray that a poor man becomes wealthy unless it's to provide the poor man with what he needs to pay for the work that God has called him to do.

It's better to pray that someone will have their needs met. We know that we should be concerned with the interests of others and not just our own needs. We should also be like the Apostle Paul who learned to be content with whatever he had.

I'm not wealthy. I don't have a high income. If we were suddenly to get $100,000 I don't know what I would buy beyond a new iPhone. Our everyday cars were made in 2014 and 2011. Our weekend car is a Cadillac was made in 2007. They all have less than 70,000 on them. I couldn't see replacing any of our vehicles either. I have what I need. I also have $5000 of my own money and have no idea what I would want to spend money on. I think that's a lesson in contentment.

We also shouldn't pray for others thinking that will manipulate God into giving us the wealth that we want. It's shameful to even think like that. Especially when we realize how Jesus died on the cross for our salvation and provides for the needs of his children.

My biggest desire is to find a super sweet cat like the one that died in June of 2018. I just haven't been able to find one.
