How Did Joseph Interpret Dreams?

in christianity •  7 years ago  (edited)

Remember how Joseph had been imprisoned and during that time, 2 men told him their dreams? He listened to their dreams and gave each of them an interpretation. The interpretations came true once they both were released from prison. But how did Joseph do this? The dreams of these two men were not obvious, so how did he know that one of the dreams meant that the man would be hanged and the other would be reinstated?

As a Christian, I believe we are able to receive the direction of the Holy Spirit and therefore we can know whatever the Spirit knows. I believe that, even though Jesus had not died on a cross yet, He can be found in the past, present and the future. Therefore, Joseph was able to access the Spirit BEFORE Jesus sent Him to those who accept(ed) Jesus as their savior.

The Bible says we need only ASK to RECEIVE; KNOCK and the door with Open; SEEK and we will FIND. So apparently Joseph did all three above and God answered his questions. Because of these answers, Joseph was freed and became the second greatest ruler in Egypt. Not only that, but he fed and saved his family who would have starved during his reign.

Do you have a pressing question? Ask, Knock and Seek for the answers from God. He will show you what you need to know.

great post @buddy67.

thank you

I totally agree. I sometimes feel like some of dreams are divine, they just come true. It's so weird, it's like the Almighty is closer than I think.

He usually is! lol

do you have any idea why my money keep disappearing? I was up to over $700 and now down to $300. How does $400 disappear when the market seems to be fine? Anyone know?

First, the market isn't fine, ha ha. Second, it's a rolling 7 day average I believe, so you may be feeling the effects of the previous week's market price.

I think that god gave Joseph many gifts, like wisdom and dream interpretation . other thing was effective in additional to these gifts, it was his life inside the Egyptian culture, so he had a knowledge about their fears and concerns . the EXACT fact that all that was godlike arrangements .

Yes buddy, if we ask we would receive. But I think for Joseph it was more of a factor of dream interpretation being a GIFT.

Just like how some have gifts of prophesy, healing....

Just my opinion. What do you think Buddy?

yes, God does give each one of us gifts....I am sure Joseph had that gift.

Interesting bit of fun trivia: recent document unearthed in Yemen calls him Pharaoh Joseph. So, history forgets the actual Pharaoh but records Joseph.

Funny thing I read the same thing about dreams from another post . But they said as a Muslim. And another funny is Joseph was neither of those. It should have read as a spiritual gifted being or such. Certain people from all the religions have this gift. And also from those that are spiritual and belong to no particular one.
