Thoughts for the day - 2/11/18

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
—1 Corinthians 13:4-5

I'm pretty sure that I am often not kind, I try not to envy but perhaps I do. I know pride and rudeness and who is not self-seeking. When I analyze myself with this standard, I really don't make the grade. I can only ask for forgiveness and pray that I may also know this true love for myself.

For we are here to learn to love and be loved! Everything else is a distraction.

Many Blessings.

Craig

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

One of my favorite verses, so had to include the rest for 1 Corinthians 13:4-7!

Pretty awesome that you picked one of my top 10 verses. God Bless, Craig!

Ah, if you love the Lord, you're going to have to Love 1st Cor.
Thanks for following along and bringing the word to Steemit!

Absolutely brother!

True and perfect love exists. One need not look far to see it. Where, you ask? Why, it's in everyone. It's called love for oneself. For indeed, you are only truly kind to yourself. You are ever so genuinely patient, generous, humble and unselfish to yourself.

For this reason Jesus commanded us to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. This is the standard we should measure ourselves up to. "How have we loved our neighbors?"

You are truly an inspiration!
Keep on preaching!

Saw you're jogging article, did not have a chance to read it it yet, but I WILL. Looks great.

Actually the only time I reflect on these things is when I get to see your "Thoughts" posts. So you better keep it up.

Yeah, would be great if you get to read the jogging article I made. It might make you want to start an exercise routine (if you don't have one yet).

Thanks for your honesty! The reflections on the verses are refreshing. We all miss the mark but forgiveness is ever present and made available. Isn't God good?

Thank you. Yes, so very good is our God! I am humbled for the chance to share.

This is really true and it further tells us that we cannot rely on our own strength to live a life that pleases God. It is definitely a process to live more and more like Jesus day after day. Thanks for sharing!

Yes, so true and yet we forget it so often and wake up with all the things "WE" want to do, instead of asking God, what is it you want of me this day?

Many blessings,

Craig

It has never been about "us" anyways, it has always been about "Him" and Him alone! :)

Amen!

Love is sacrifice
Love is covenant
Love is commitment

Intresting thoughts! By the way I just did a post where i talked about the pros and cons of trading or Hodling Please check it out!

I want to say thank you for sharing the Word with us all. The funny thing is I had actually clicked through to you from a post that had to do with reward pool pillaging, when there before me on your blog is post after post of someone sharing Good News. I keep finding these sort connections the longer I'm on Steemit... I'm beginning to see this as one of the ways God's Spirit works on the net. It's just fun. So Hi... I'm genxrev (a.k.a. Eric) and I'm happy I stumbled across you. Peace

That's a great story! Yes, indeed, our Lord is wondrous when it comes to leading us correctly even when we are stumbling without a lot of purpose.

Thank you my friend, very happy He led you here.

As I've been around Steem "stuff" only two weeks now, It definitely has a feel of stumbling around... but I've been meeting some really good folks and finding that things I can offer are helpful to others so it's all good. Peace to you & looking forward to getting to know you better.

Yes, and very addictive too!
Thanks brother!
