Explanation

After Leah had given birth to the fourth child, Genesis 29:35 states that she left bearing,
implying that she left what gave her the advantage. As earlier explained in prayer 32,
giving birth or bearing can be used as a metaphor for prayer, hence it can further be
implied that Leah left the place of prayer. I believe the reason she left bearing was because
she had become very comfortable seeing that Jacob's attention had shifted in her favor. It
is important to note that when we experience miracles or breakthroughs, we must be
extremely careful so that we do not get carried away and unknown to us ease into a place
of complacency. Even though she praised God after she bore Judah, she must have also
left the place of praising God.Have you on the account of a recent breakthrough or miracle
become complacent towards the things of God and left the place of prayer? Genesis 30:9
states that Leah SAW that she had left bearing, which means that she did not even realise
that she had left the place of prayer until the attention shifted back to Rachel. Leah literally
handed over the advantage to her sister because of her complacency.Do we have to get to
a point where we lose things or allow something bad to happen to us before we come to a
realization of the fact that we have left the place of prayer? Have you become so excited by
a new status, appointment or promotion that catapulted you into a financial wealth to the
point that you do not even realize you have left the place of prayer? We need to ask God for
the grace to keep us in HIM regardless of any financial blessings, appointments or
promotions in Jesus Name.

Prayer

Father, I ask for the grace to stay in the place of fasting and prayer so that I don't get carried away with excitement to the point that I abandon my prayer life in Jesus Name. I declare I will not slip into a place of prayerlessness in Jesus Name. I ask for the stamina and strength to remain in a place of prayer in Jesus Name. I declare nothing will distract me from studying YOUR Word, fasting and prayer in Jesus Name
