Before Pilate He was brought
There His offences were sought
"He's innocent", Pilate thought
But the crowd showed her naught

"Kill Him! Kill Him!!" they screemed
Its clear their hearts were dimmed
They couldn't have Him esteemed
Yet He wanted them redeemed
