I got a strange feeling that some religious christians does not like this question being asked and therefore, shutting out the light and possibility that may help them into knowing Christ more intimately -
Are you a spiritual being or a natural being?
Is your new creation through a spiritual birth translated into practical living and reality or just a religious philosophy and "feel good" religious theory and not practics?
The natural life or the spiritual life - Which is more reliable and more important to you as a Christian - a Heavenly creature?
Would you rathet be guided by your mind, your emotion, and your will , or, even your soul; or, would you rather be guided and be led by the Holy Spirit?
That alone will defined the reality of your Christian life and distinguishes you from being a true New Creation In-Christ and thus your growth and growing in 
maturity in The Lord Jesus
