Why do I suffer?

.

Many years ago the Bible tells a story about a man named Job who through his sufferings we see a man who, not only achieved a deeper understanding of God, but also became a source of encouragement for men of all the generations that follow him. Suffering is the furnace of affliction where God purifies us as a certain poet said:

The hallmark of Christianity is suffering.
.

The great Methodist brother known as John Wesley before his conversion tells the story that when crossing the Atlantic in a terrible storm that seemed to lead him to death he felt fear and experienced the fear of dying, then he tells that this test revealed to him that in periods of crisis is when the Lord tests us and our faith, just as he proved Manoa and his wife.

The Eternal often uses situations of pain and sorrow in our lives in order that we know our true intentions and above all prove our fidelity in relation to:

Remember how the Lord your God guided you through the desert for 40 years, where he humiliated you and put you to the test to reveal your character ...

Dt 8:2

In addition, these adventures God uses them with the purpose that we get closer to his word based on:

Blessed are those whom you discipline.

Psalm 94:12

So, why do I suffer? , because the Lord wants to become better and more useful vessels in order to prepare us for future blessings as it happened to the suffering Job that the Eternal gave him much more than he possessed after remaining faithful, another example we can see in Joseph, he was imprisoned, humiliated, tried and finally exalted by the Lord as the Lord says by the master of eloquence Paul taught and instructed by the Holy Spirit:

Because no temptation has overtaken us that is not human, but God is faithful that will not let us be tested more than we can resist.

1 Cor 10:13

Finally, suffering often occurs from the actions of others, but it has the ability to reveal what is in our own hearts. Our capacity to feel love, mercy, anger, envy, anger and pride, strength and weakness of heart are manifested in suffering and temptation as gold and silver are refined by fire so we will be proven the only thing that we should to hope is to get approved and confess this phrase of Brother Lloyne that seems very beautiful to me:

Your will, oh Lord, however difficult it may be, I just want to answer you.

I pray the Lord to use this writing and bless your life helping you to continue trusting in the midst of the test maintaining fidelity to the Father. Thanks and blessings.

In the world we have many afflictions, but of all of them God will comfort us
Good reflection @ elprof25

Gracias y mil bendiciones

The biggest desire God has for us is that we would become more like his Son. That seldom happens from having an easy life. As James said,

(James 1:2-4 NIV) Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, {3} because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. {4} Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Es así @barncat. sólo es posible alegrarse en medio de la prueba si nuestro corazón está lleno del espíritu Santo de Dios porque es imposible en nuestras propias fuerzas. Gracia y bendiciones
