STRIVE TO ENTER THE NARROW GATE

The Christian life is a life of war. This war is not carnal and therefore the weapons of the physical world is not applicable. It's good to fight a good fight but it's better to fight it with the appropriate weapon. This is a spiritual life and it's difficulties are faced spiritually. If you're a Christian and reading this message, I want you to know that you can't afford to throw in the towel.

Some Christians are living in ignorance in this world. They think that Christianity is what they do on Sundays and church meetings. These are part of the Christian life and we are commanded to not absent ourselves from the meeting of the Saints . Buy that is not all, there is a spiritual battle 'For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.' Ephesians 6
[12].

This battle is never ending until we enter our home. We are pilgrims and therefore have no 'possession' here on earth. We possess eternal blessings and as a result, the devil will wage war against us to prevent us from holding on to these priceless possessions. The devil, knowing the blessings bestowed in man (Adam and Eve ) fought a spiritual battle with them and won. By so doing, he displaced the possessions given to us by our Father and brought every bad thing on us. But here is the case our Father, because of His unfailing love for us has brought us back into His presence. Do you think the devil will allow you to freely enjoy the blessings without scars?

But we already have the victory in Jesus. He has won the battle. As long as we live in Him, He won't allow us to fail this spiritual battle. He's with us and will 'never leave us or forsake us'. The Psalmist, knowing the victory he had in his Savior said;

Psalms 23:1-6
[1]The lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need.
[2]He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams.
[3]He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.
[4]Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.
[5]You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.
[6]Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the lord forever.

If the lord is truly your Shepherd then don't settle for failure. Work hard. Strive to enter the narrow gate. God is with you. Sometimes we feel beset by sins on every side. We face hardship and sickness. But remember in all these that 'The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.' 1 Corinthians 10
[13]. He will surely make a way of escape.

Count it all joy when you fall into these temptations for it's through temptations that our faith will be proven right and stregthened. Never give up. God is with you. Remember he has taken upon himself flesh before and He fully understands what it means to be human. That's why He is always interceding for us at the right hand of the Father. His blood is still flowing and it's still potent to wash away all your sins. Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world and you shall be saved.

God bless you for following today's message. I'll be very glad to hear from you in the comment section.

Great message dear @gadol. I love this:

As long as we live in Him, He won't allow us to fail this spiritual battle.

He is so faithful.

Philippians 1:6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;

Hallelujah... Thanks for the verse and your comment. God bless you @hope777

Amen! With some spiritual stamina and resolve to see the promises, God does plan for us to win the battle!
Great post!

Amen. Thanks for passing by.

Always good reading!

Thanks for this great post. We should all strive to enter the kingdom of God.

Thank you. I've been having a really hard time in my life right now. Trying to keep my faith in Him and the enemy is doing a great job at trying to pull me from my faith. A little lost right now and trying to find my way. Need guidance like crazy!

God bless you! Thank you again for this message :)

OK. Pray and ask God to help you. That may seem unhelpful but that's all I can say for now. In our weakness we sometimes feel like we can not even pray. But it's in our weakness that we need to seek the Lord. Read the scriptures too and God will come down. Your problem too may be a sin but ask God who has is the fountain of all grace to wash you. It's all about communion with HIM. Thanks for passing by.

Thanks for the reblog too
