NOT ALL ROADS LEAD TO ROME, PART 1

Have you heard the saying: "all roads lead to Rome"? This saying was popularized at the time of the Roman Empire. If you followed the network of roads created you could reach from any point of it to the capital. Historians say that the terrestrial communication system came to have almost 400 roads, with more than 70,000 kilometers in length. So people did not care where the road always came from, it would lead to Rome. This means that it does not matter what path you take, as long as you get to a good destination.

In life there are many paths that lead us to different destinations, only time will indicate if the correct path was taken. But the decision you make will bring consequences for the present and future. Sadly this saying is not for those who want to seek God. Some people say: "The important thing is that you look to God without evaluating how you do it and where you are going" the important thing is that you are doing it. But not all roads are good and lead to God, the Bible refers to two paths:
"Enter through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate, and broad the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter through it; for narrow is the gate, and narrow is the way that leads to life, and there are few who find it " . Matthew 7: 13,14

The wide path is the easiest, pleasing to man, does not merit sacrifice, there is comfort, without pressure, personal satisfaction is the center, where often the commandments of God are transgressed and a free life is taken to the taste of the person, as it says Proverbs 16:25
There is a way that seems right to man, but its end is the way of death.

On the other hand, the path of God is a narrow path, which leads to eternal life. This path requires the detachment of loads and weights that prevent walking lightly and correctly in life. In the beginning they seem painful but in the end they produce satisfaction and happiness.

The Holy Scriptures indicate that to achieve Salvation you must follow a Guide that leads to the Father, which is safe and brings lasting happiness to those who follow their paths. It is Jesus Christ, who can help you in your search. He mentioned it himself.
"I am the way, and the truth, and the life; No one comes to the Father except through me "John 14: 6

The broad path resembles the society where the quick and easy prevails, but this does not guarantee that it will last. The narrow path takes time and personal discipline, but it brings eternal results. Remember this famous phrase of the dra. Maya Angelou:
"All great achievements require time"

To reflect.
Is eternal life a great achievement for you?
Are you willing to follow that narrow path of love and personal discipline?
