It is impossible for a genuine Christian to do without prayer in as much as he/she has desires. Whenever we pray, we have to believe that the almighty God is capable to give us what we seek.
Doubtfulness is one thing that destroys the faith of a believer, and you can't get anything from God when you have this spirit in your life.
