Sometimes we forget to pray

As I've grown and learned more in my faith and walk with the Lord, one thing that I've always heard associated with is prayers.
Growing up in church, you learn about prayer: a direct line to God, being able to communicate with Him, the importance of it, but at the same time, it can be easy to take it for granted.

Sometimes we forget the power of prayer and how important it actually is.

Have you ever found yourself in a spiritual rut? Though i grew up in church, i've always found myself in this kind of situatuon. Sometimes Life gets busy, church feels like one more thing on your to-do list, and prayer feels both cumbersome and ineffective.

The power of prayers

Memory verse

Philippians 4:6 says, "Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank him for his answers."

John 14:13-14 says, "Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it."

The power of prayers

When we ache over the challenges facing those we love, and fear the situation won’t change, we may be tempted to believe that the Lord will not act. But we should never underestimate the power of prayer, for our loving God hears our pleas. We don’t know how He will move in response to our petitions, but we know that as our Father He longs for us to embrace His love and to trust in His faithfulness.

When Paul describes our spiritual armor, he includes the belt of truth, the body armor of God’s righteousness, the shoes of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit—the very Word of God. But he doesn’t stop there. “Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere,”

Paul says in Ephesians 6:18.

There it is. The fuel that drives everything: prayer.
