God's message to gentiles thru Jonah
(ALL TEXTS ARE TAKEN FROM THE NEW AMERICAN STANDARD VERSION)
The following text has been compiled over a period of some 20 years. It all started in 1988 at Central Baptist Seminary in a Hebrew class where we were studying the Book of Jonah. The professor in the class pointed out that in the Hebrew there is a problem that has yet to be truthfully addressed in any translation that I have ever seen. When he said that, I immediately was inspired with a possible explanation for this occurrence, and it showed me that you can’t eliminate the Spirit from translating the Bible or you will never get the fullness of its truth. I believe that this message has always been the mission of the “Church” with respect to the Chosen People. Unfortunately, previous generations have been sadly lacking in fulfilling this mission. It is our responsibility to change the way we deal with the Jewish community.
In the book of Jonah in the Bible, the word fish is used 4 times. 3 times the word is masculine and once it is feminine. All translations in English that I have studied do not address this. One possible reason for this apparent error is explored in this writing.
AN ANSWER TO THE FISH QUESTION
A MESSAGE TO THE GENTILE CHURCH FROM JONAH AND THE WHALES.
What do the following have to do with CHRISTIAN'S ETERNAL RESPONSIBILITY to the Chosen people of G_D?

- THE BOOK OF JONAH
- HOS 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
- THE 3RD COMMANDMENT; EXODUS 20:7; You shall not take the name of the LORD your G_D in vain, for the LORD will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain.
After we learn of the history of the Bible and the prophets and the Law and the plan of salvation through Yeshua (Jesus), we should be concerned with what G_D is doing in today’s world. ; The following is what I believe to be the corporate responsibility of the Church in the months and years to follow.

SO WHAT IS YOUR GOOD WORK IN TODAY‘S DISPENSATION? I DON’T KNOW SPECIFICALLY WHAT YOU SHOULD DO IN A DAILY SENSE, BUT I DO HAVE AN UNDERSTANDING IN A CORPORATE OR GENERAL SENSE OF WHAT WE AS THE BODY OF CHRIST SHOULD BE DOING IN G_D. THERE HAS BEEN ONE MANDATE THROUGHOUT TIME FOR GENTILES WITH RESPECT TO G_D’S CHOSEN PEOPLE: OLD TESTAMENT:
Genesis 12: 1-3
Now the LORD said to Abram,"Go forth from your country, And from your relatives, And from your father's house, to the land which I will show you; 2. And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And; you shall be a blessing; 3. And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed."
And again Isaac tells Jacob:
Gen: 27:29
May peoples serve you, And nations bow down to you; Be master of your brothers, And may your mother's sons bow down to you. Cursed be those who curse you, And blessed be those who bless you."
THIS IS CONFIRMED IN THE NEW TESTAMENT IN MANY VERSES, BUT NONE MORE MEANINGFUL AND POWERFUL THAN IN THE BOOK OF EPHESIANS.
EPHESIANS 1:13-14. In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation--having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a VIEW TO THE REDEMPTION OF G_D'S OWN POSSESSION to the praise of His glory.
SO WHO IS G_D’S OWN POSSESSION WHOSE REDEMPTION WE SHOULD HAVE A VIEW TOWARD?
EX: 19:4-6 You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings, and brought you to Myself. Now then, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be My own possession among all the peoples, for all the earth is Mine; and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words that you shall speak to the sons of Israel.”
C. DEUT: 4-20: ; "But the LORD has taken you and brought you out of the iron furnace, from Egypt, to be a people for His own possession.
D. DEUT: 14:1-2 "You are the sons of the LORD your G_D; you shall not cut yourselves nor shave your forehead for the sake of the dead. "For you are a holy people to the LORD your G_D, and the LORD has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.
1 PETER: 2:9-12 ; But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR G_D'S OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; for you once were NOT A PEOPLE, but now you are THE PEOPLE OF G_D; you had NOT RECEIVED MERCY, but now you have RECEIVED MERCY. Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul. Keep your behavior excellent among the Gentiles, so that in the thing in which they slander you as evildoers, they may because of your good deeds, as they observe them, glorify G_D in the day of visitation.
OK, SO WE SHOULD BLESS THEM AND HAVE A VIEW TO THEIR REDEMPTION, BUT IN WHAT WAY? THE FISH (PLURAL) IN THE BOOK OF JONAH GIVE US A CLUE AS TO THE BLESSING. (LATER WE WILL DEAL WITH THE VIEW TO THEIR REDEMPTION)

WHY DID THE WRITER OF JONAH CHANGE THE GENDER OF THE FISH FROM MASCULINE TO FEMININE?
IN THE BOOK OF JONAH THE WORD FISH IS USED 4 TIMES IN THE FOLLOWING ORDER: (1ST FISH- HA DAG GADOL-MASCULINE), ; (2ND FISH HA DAG GADOL MASCULINE), (3RD FISH HA DAGAH GADOL FEMININE) (4TH FISH HA DAG GADOL MASCULINE). THERE ARE 4 TIMES THAT THE WORD FISH APPEARS IN THE BOOK OF JONAH. ; THE FIRST 2 ARE MASCULINE,, THE THIRD IS FEMININE AND THE LAST IS AGAIN MASCULINE. ; SO WHY DID THE WRITER OF JONAH CHANGE THE GENDER OF THE FISH, AND WHY DIDN'T SOMEONE RECOGNIZE THIS APPARENT ERROR AND CHANGE IT OVER THE THOUSANDS OF YEARS SINCE IT WAS WRITTEN? IF 2 TIM: 3:16-17 IS TRUE THEN THE CHANGE IN GENDER MUST HAVE BEEN INTENDED AS G_D DIRECTED THE WRITER. I BELIEVE THE REASON FOR THE GENDER CHANGE IS SPIRITUAL. IT IS BECAUSE G_D’S SPIRIT IS INVOLVED IN THE WRITING AND THE SPIRITUAL MEANING OF THE BOOK REQUIRES THAT THERE BE 4 FISH, NOT 1 OR 2 (MALE AND FEMALE). JONAH IN THE BOOK IS A MAN IN THE PHYSICAL, BUT IN THE SPIRITUAL HE IS A PEOPLE. IE: THE CHOSEN PEOPLE. JONAH MEANS DOVE WHICH IS A SIGN OF THE ANNOINTED (MESHIACH OR CHRIST). THE PEOPLE WERE ANNOINTED WITH THE CALLING TO INTRODUCE THEIR G_D TO THE GENTILE WORLD. THEY WERE GIVEN "THE ADOPTION OF SONS, AND THE GLORY AND THE COVENANTS AND THE GIVING OF THE LAW AND THE TEMPLE SERVICE AND THE PROMISES WHOSE ARE THE FATHERS, AND FROM WHOM IS THE CHRIST ACCORDING TO THE FLESH, WHO IS OVER ALL, G_D BLESSED ; FOREVER. AMEN" ROMANS 9:4-5
JONAH WAS COMMISSIONED TO TAKE A MESSAGE TO NINIVAH. ; ONE OF REPENTENCE AND HE REFUSED TO DO IT. ; THE CHOSEN OF G_D ; (DESCENDENTS OF ABRAHAM, ISSAC AND JACOB) WERE ALSO TO TAKE A MESSAGE OF REPENTENCE TO THE WORLD AND EVEN TODAY HAVE NOT BEEN EVANGELISTIC IN THEIR APPROACH TO THE GENTILES. ; SO IF WE SEE THAT JONAH CAN BE SEEN AS THE CHOSEN PEOPLE, WE CAN ALSO SEE THAT THEY WERE THROWN INTO THE SEA (THE SEA OF THE GENTILES) AND WERE SWALLOWED BY A LARGE FISH. SO WE PICK UP THE STORY AFTER THE STORM THREATENED TO SINK THE SHIP.
JONAH 1:15-2:10 So they picked up Jonah, threw him into the sea, and the sea stopped its raging. Then the men feared the LORD greatly, and they offered a sacrifice to the LORD and made vows. And the LORD appointed a great FISH (1ST FISH HA DAG GADOL-MASCULINE)to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the stomach of the FISH (2ND FISH HA DAG GADOL MASCULINE) three days and three nights. Then Jonah prayed to the LORD his G_D from the stomach of the FISH (3RD FISH HA DAGAH GADOL FEMININE), and he said, "I called out of my distress to the LORD, And He answered me I cried for help from the depth of Sheol; You heard my voice. "For You had cast me into the deep, Into the heart of the seas (SEA OF GENTILES), And the current engulfed me All Your breakers and billows passed over me. "So I said, 'I have been expelled from Your sight. ; Nevertheless I will look again toward Your holy temple.(THIS WAS THE BABYLONIAN CAPTIVITY BECAUSE OF HIS VIEW TOWARD THE REBUILDING OF THE TEMPLE) "Water encompassed me to the point of death The great deep engulfed me, Weeds were wrapped around my head. "I descended to the roots of the mountains The earth with its bars was around me forever, But You have brought up my life from the pit, O LORD my G_D. "While I was fainting away, I remembered the LORD, And my prayer came to You, Into Your holy temple. "Those who regard vain idols Forsake their faithfulness, But I will sacrifice to You With the voice of thanksgiving ; That which I have vowed I will pay. Salvation is from the LORD." Then the LORD commanded the FISH (4TH FISH HA DAG GADOL MASCULINE), and it vomited Jonah up onto the dry land.
BECAUSE OF THEIR DISOBEDIENCE, THEY WERE PUNISHED WITH 4 CAPTIVITIES. IN THE CAPTIVITIES THERE WERE ENTITIES WHICH HELPED TO PROTECT THEM. THAT IS THE NATURE OF THE 4 FISH. THE FISH PROTECT JONAH, THEY DON'T ABSORB HIM, THEY DON'T DIGEST HIM. THEY PROTECT HIM UNTIL IT IS TIME TO SPIT HIM BACK INTO THE LAND. ; THERE HAVE BEEN 4 TIMES THAT THE CHOSEN HAVE BEEN PUNISHED BY G_D BY EXPELLING THEM FROM THE LAND GIVEN TO ABRAHAM, ISSAC AND JACOB. THE EGYPTIAN CAPTIVITY, THE ASSYRIAN CAPTIVITY, THE BABYLONIAN CAPTIVITY AND THE ROMAN DIASPORA. THE CHARACTER OF THE 4 DIFFERENT CAPTIVITIES CAN BE SEEN IN THE CHANGE FROM MASCULINE TO FEMININE AND BACK TO MASCULINE.
THE FIRST TIME THEY WERE THROWN INTO THE SEA, THE FISH IS MASCULINE WHICH IS THE EGYPTIAN CAPTIVITY. IT IS MASCULINE BECAUSE THEY WERE MADE SLAVES AND WERE NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE WHEN MOSES WAS TOLD TO TAKE THEM OUT. ; AND THEY WERE SPIT UP ONTO THE LAND WHEN JOSHUA TOOK THEM ACROSS THE JORDAN. EXODUS 1-40 & JOSHUA 1-4
THE SECOND TIME THEY WERE THROWN INTO THE SEA WAS THE ASSYRIAN CAPTIVITY. ; THIS FISH IS MASCULINE BECAUSE THE TEN TRIBES OF ISRAEL WERE TAKEN INTO CAPTIVITY FROM WHICH THEY NEVER RETURNED.
2 KINGS 17: 1-18 In the twelfth year of Ahaz king of Judah, Hoshea the son of Elah became king over Israel in Samaria, and reigned nine years. He did evil in the sight of the LORD, only not as the kings of Israel who were before him. ; Shalmaneser king of Assyria came up against him, and Hoshea became his servant and paid him tribute. But the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea, who had sent messengers to So king of Egypt and had offered no tribute to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year; so the king of Assyria shut him up and bound him in prison. Then the king of Assyria invaded the whole land and went up to Samaria and besieged it three years. In the ninth year of Hoshea, the king of Assyria captured Samaria and carried Israel away into exile to Assyria, and settled them in Halah and Habor, on the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes. Now this came about because the sons of Israel had sinned against the LORD their G_D, who had brought them up from the land of Egypt from under the hand of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and they had feared other G_Ds and walked in the customs of the nations whom the LORD had driven out before the sons of Israel, and in the customs of the kings of Israel which they had introduced. The sons of Israel did things secretly which were not right against the LORD their G_D. Moreover, they built for themselves high places in all their towns, from watchtower to fortified city. They set for themselves sacred pillars and Asherim on every high hill and under every green tree, and there they burned incense on all the high places as the nations did which the LORD had carried away to exile before them; and they did evil things provoking the LORD. They served idols, concerning which the LORD had said to them, "You shall not do this thing." ; Yet the LORD warned Israel and Judah through all His prophets and every seer, saying, "Turn from your evil ways and keep My commandments, My statutes according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you through My servants the prophets." However, they did not listen, but stiffened their neck like their fathers, who did not believe in the LORD their G_D. They rejected His statutes and His covenant which He made with their fathers and His warnings with which He warned them And they followed vanity and became vain, and went after the nations which surrounded them, concerning which the LORD had commanded them not to do like them. They forsook all the commandments of the LORD their G_D and made for themselves molten images, even two calves, and made an Asherah and worshiped all the host of heaven and served Baal. Then they made their sons and their daughters pass through the fire, and practiced divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, provoking Him. So the LORD was very angry with Israel and removed them from His sight; none was left except the tribe of Judah.
THE THIRD TIME THEY WERE THROWN INTO THE SEA WAS THE BABYLONIAN CAPTIVITY WHEN G_D TOLD THEM THAT THEY SHOULD GO AND THAT THROUGH CYRUS, THEY WOULD RETURN AND JERUSALEM WOULD BE REBUILT. THIS FISH WAS FEMININE BECAUSE THEY WERE CARED FOR, ALLOWED TO WORSHIP, AND WHEN IT WAS TIME TO REBUILD THE TEMPLE, CYRUS ALLOWED THEM TO RETURN WITHOUT PERSECUTION.
ISA 44:28-45:13 "It is I who says of Cyrus, 'He is My shepherd! ; And he will perform all My desire’ And he declares of Jerusalem, ' She will be built,' ; And of the temple, 'Your foundation will be laid.'" Thus says the LORD to Cyrus His anointed, Whom I have taken by the right hand, To subdue nations before him And to loose the loins of kings; To open doors before him so that gates will not be shut: "I will go before you and make the rough places smooth; I will shatter the doors of bronze and cut through their iron bars. "I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden wealth of secret places, So that you may know that it is I, The LORD, the G_D of Israel, who calls you by your name. ; "For the sake of Jacob My servant, And Israel My chosen one, I have also called you by your name; I have given you a title of honor Though you have not known Me. "I am the LORD, and there is no other; Besides Me there is no G_D ; I will gird you, though you have not known Me; That men may know from the rising to the setting of the sun That there is no one besides Me. I am the LORD, and there is no other, The One forming light and creatinG_Darkness, Causing well-being and creating calamity; I am the LORD who does all these. "Drip down, O heavens, from above, And let the clouds pour down righteousness; Let the earth open up and salvation bear fruit, And righteousness spring up with it. I, the LORD, have created it. "Woe to the one who quarrels with his Maker--An earthenware vessel among the vessels of earth! Will the clay say to the potter, 'What are you doing?' Or the thing you are making say, 'He has no hands'? "Woe to him who says to a father, 'What are you begetting?' Or to a woman, 'To what are you giving birth?'" ; Thus says the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker: "Ask Me about the things to come concerning My sons, And you shall commit to Me the work of My hands. ; "It is I who made the earth, and created man upon it I stretched out the heavens with My hands And I ordained all their host. "I have aroused him in righteousness And I will make all his ways smooth; He will build My city and will let My exiles go free, Without any payment or reward," says the LORD of hosts. - The Jews became a separate people who did not want to become like their neighbors ever again. The Pharisees came from this era of Jewish history.
- They became pure monotheistic, giving up idolatry completely.
- They developed theological literature and renewed interest in the Law of Moses.
- They repented of their sins against Yahweh.
- The synagogues were established as a place of worship centered on God’s Word, prayer, praise and study.
- Judaism became personal rather than a formal ritualism.
- They became a missionary people to all the nations.
- During this time God placed a longing for the coming of the Messiah in their hearts. The Pharisees were especially instrumental in keeping the Messianic hope before the eyes of the people.
THE FOURTH TIME THEY WERE THROWN INTO THE SEA WAS THE TIME AFTER THE ROMANS DESTROYED ; HEROD’S TEMPLE AND IS MASCULINE BECAUSE THEY WERE PERSECUTED IN MOST ALL OF THEIR SOJOURNS. THE CHURCH BEING THE WORST OFFENDER OF TRYING TO ABSORB THE JEWISH PEOPLE, THUS ACTING LIKE THE ASSYRIANS. ; EVIDENCE THE INQUISITION, THE CRUSADES, POGROMS IN RUSSIA AND CULMINATING IN THE HOLOCAUST AFTER WHICH THEY HAVE AGAIN BEEN SPIT UP ON THE LAND. (ALL OF THESE PERSECUTIONS HAPPENED IN NATIONS WHICH WERE SUPPOSEDLY CHRISTIAN )
5.ENTER HOS 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. IT MAY BE THEIR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE OF GOD THAT HOSEA WAS REFERING TO, BUT IT IS our (THE GENTILES)lack of knowledge which has led to their injuries and death. WE NO LONGER HAVE IGNORANCE OF OUR RESPONSIBILITY. WE NOW KNOW WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO. WE NOW BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE IN ISRAEL TO STAY AND WILL NEVER BE EXPELLED AGAIN. (THIS IS BECAUSE THERE ARE ONLY 4 FISH AND NOT A 5TH.) ; WHAT HAS THIS TO DO WITH US? ; AGAIN, THE CHARACTERISTIC OF THE FISH IS THAT HE OR SHE WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO ABSORB JONAH, BUT WAS SUPPOSED TO PROTECT JONAH. ; THE UNITED STATES HAS 6 MILLION ; JEWISH PEOPLE LIVING HERE. ; JEREMIAH SPEAKS OF A TIME WHEN THEY WILL BE GATHERED FROM THE 4 CORNERS OF THE EARTH AND HE WILL SEND HUNTERS AND FISHERS IN ORDER FOR THAT TO HAPPEN.
JEREMIAH 16:14-21 Therefore behold, days are coming," declares the LORD, "when it will no longer be said, 'As the LORD lives, who brought up the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt,' but, 'As the LORD lives, who brought up the sons of Israel from the land of the north and from all the countries where He had banished them.' For I will restore them to their own land which I gave to their fathers. "Behold, I am going to send for many FISHERMEN," declares the LORD, "and they will FISH for them; and afterwards I will send for many HUNTERS, and they will HUNT them from every mountain and every hill and from the clefts of the rocks. "For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their iniquity concealed from My eyes. "I will first doubly repay their iniquity and their sin, because they have polluted My land; they have filled My inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable idols and with their abominations." O LORD, my strength and my stronghold, And my refuge in the day of distress, To You the nations will come From the ends of the earth and "Our fathers have inherited nothing but falsehood, Futility and things of no profit." Can man make G_Ds for himself? Yet they are not G_Ds! ; "Therefore behold, I am going to make them know--This time I will make them know My power and My might; And they shall know that My name is the LORD." WE ALL SEE WHAT HAS HAPPENED IN THIS COUNTRY IN THE LAST 50 YEARS AND IT ISN’T GOOD. ; THERE WAS A MAN WHO WAS A FINANCIAL ADVISOR CALLED THE "ORIGINAL GOLD BUG" ; HIS NAME WAS JIM DINES. ; HE MADE A STATEMENT THAT WHEN I HEARD IT, I KNEW IT WAS TRUE. ; IN THE LATE 1970S HE SAID THAT IN 1968 WE SAW THE PINACLE OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION. ; SINCE 1968 THE UNITED STATES HAS DECLINED BOTH MORALLY AND SPIRITUALLY. ; MORALLY: ABORTION IN 1973, GOVERNMENT CORRUPTION AT EVERY LEVEL, GAY MARRIAGE, CORPORATE GREED, MURDER OF CHILDREN BY CHILDREN, DRUG GANGS INVADING OUR SOUTHERN BORDER AND RESIDENT IN EVERY MAJOR AMERICAN CITY, NAMBLA UNAFRAID TO SPREAD ITS VENUM, SIN IS NOW A DISEASE OR ADDICTION, LOSS ; OF FREEDOM ETC. NATIONAL DEBT, CORPORATE GREED SPIRITUALLY: THE CHURCH HAS ALLOWED THE STATE TO USURP ITS ROLE OF EDUCATING THE YOUNG, FEEDING THE POOR AND HOUSING THE INDIGENT. ; INSTEAD, WE BUILD LARGE ELABORATE BUILDINGS THROUGH BUILDING PROGRAMS, CHANGE THE GOSPEL SO MORE PEOPLE WILL FEEL COMFORTABLE IN THEIR WEALTH, MAKE G_D A WISHING WELL WHERE ALL OUR DESIRES WILL BE FULLFILLED ETC. SO DO WE RECLAIM THE COUNTRY OR IS IT HEADED FOR THE WOOD PILE OF HISTORY?
I DON’T KNOW , BUT I DO KNOW ONE THING AND THAT IS AT THE END, THIS COUNTRY WILL BE JUDGED BASED ON ITS TREATMENT OF G_d’S CHOSEN PEOPLE. THERE ARE MORE JEWISH PEOPLE IN THE UNITED STATES THAN THERE ARE IN ISRAEL, SO IF YOU WANT THIS COUNTRY TO BE JUDGED AS BEING A RIGHTEOUS NATION THEN YOU MUST CONSIDER ADOPTING THE FOLLOWING CALLING. HISTORY: ; -The Jewish connection to the land dates back 3700 years and there was always a Jewish presence in the land over many conquests and empires. In 135 CE, Emperor Hadrian's forces suppressed a Jewish revolt and the Romans attempted to humiliate the Jews by naming the land after the Philistines, their ancient enemies. It had absolutely nothing to do with Arabs (In fact, Arabs and Philistines are always referred to in the Bible as two separate groups.) They also changed the name of Jerusalem to "Aelia Capitolina" and gave it the status of a colony The Jews were forbidden to live in the zone in or around the city so they moved to the areas of the Galilee and Golan and also Jericho, east of the zone. 313-635 CE, the land was under Byzantine rule. Constantine built many churches and monasteries. Jews were not permitted in Jerusalem except for one day a year to mourn the destruction of the temple. 635-1099 CE, The Arab conquest of the land - although the Koran mentions the Holy Land is "divinely assigned to the people of Israel (Sura V:12,20-21), for 4 centuries Caliphs ruled from Damascus, Baghdad and Egypt, and never from Jerusalem. Jews built settlements in Jerusalem and were safeguarded by special poll and land taxes. By 1099 these taxes had increased significantly decreasing the size of the Jewish population in Jerusalem. 1099-1250, the Crusaders conquered Jerusalem and slaughtered most of the Jews and Muslims 1250-1516, Mamelukes win Jerusalem for Muslims and rule the area from Damascus. 1517-1917 the Ottoman Rule. The land is divided into 4 districts and administered from Damascus but ruled from Istanbul. During this time: 1917-British Rule begins - British conquest over Ottoman rule. British Foreign Minister, Balfour pledges support for the establishment of a National Jewish Home in Palestine. During British Rule: 1948- The Establishment of the State of Israel one day before the expiration of the British Mandate Jerusalem is divided under Jordanian and Israeli rule -1967, 6-Day war, Jerusalem reunited, Muslims, Christians and Jews all given access to their Holy Places for first time.
