Revelation 22:2 (KJV)
In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
I assume that the healing of the nations is past tense because it has been completely accomplished. They will need no healing of:
disease,
death or
disagreements
It is a done deal.
The leaves, I think, serve as a reminder of what God has done among His people.
