Revelation 17:1 (KJV)
And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
The first time these vials, filled with the wrath of God, is seen in Revelation 15:7. Here one of those angels, with one of those vials:
Spoke with the prophet
Invited the prophet to join him and
Shewed the prophet the target of his judgment
It is significant that this target is religious in nature. It is future and tribulational, but it reveals what I am sure is the truth; that those who are true to God have a part in the doom of false religion.
The preaching of God’s Word
The prayers of God’s people
The practice of God’s faith
May appear sometimes to make little difference in the world. Nevertheless, it is salt, and it is light, and, in the end, it will overcome the multitudes of false religious worship.
