And Leah said, God hath given me my hire, because I have given my maiden to my
husband: and she called his name Issachar. And Leah conceived again, and bare
Jacob the sixth son. And Leah said, God hath endued me with a good dowry; now
will my husband dwell with me, because I have born him six sons: and she called
his name Zebulun.* Genesis 30: 18-20

Introduction

On account of the transaction made between Leah and Rachel as explained in the preceding prayer, Leah had the fifth and sixth sons and named them Issachar and Zebulun respectively, after which she made a declaration that her husband will dwell with her. Note that the first declaration Leah made as highlighted in prayer 32 was that her husband will love her. Also highlighted in prayer 32, she made a second declaration that her husband will be joined to her. Our text references another declaration where she stated that her husband will dwell with her. This means that your spouse can love and be joined with you and not dwell with you. I believe Leah possibly had a strong belief that on the backdrop of the transaction and after given birth to the fifth and sixth sons, her husband will now dwell with her; she believed that she had eventually settled the matter. This suggests that beyond the transaction which gave
her the upper hand, she continued in a place of prayer, thus resulting in her making the third declaration, unlike when she had left bearing after giving birth to the fourth son.

Prayer

Father, I speak to my spouse and I declare my spouse will not only love and be joined to me but will dwell with
me in Jesus Name. I declare a closure to the ups and downs in my marriage in Jesus Name.
