CHRISTIANITY ABOUT ETERNITY

in christianity •  7 years ago

Hello, steemians this is tosinsmith from Ogun state. Today am gonna talk on Christianity about eternity. An allegorical painting of a woman representing eternity, she holds an hourglass l, a skull rest on the table beside her, and an ouroboros floats above her head. All of these are symbols of eternity.Eternity in common parlance is either an infinite or an indeterminately long period of time.In classical philosophy, however eternity is defined as what exists outside time while sempiternity is the concept that corresponds to the colloquial definition of eternity. Eternity is an important concept in many religion, where the god or gods are said to endure eternally. Some such as Aristotle, would say the same about the natural cosmos in regard to both past and future eternal duration, and like the eterplatonic forms immutability was considered essential.PHILOSOPHY: Aristotle argued that the cosmos has no beginning. In Aristotle metaphysics eternity is the unmoved mover(GOD) understood as the gradient of the total synergy (produces motion by being loved). Boethius defined eternity as simultaneously full and perfect possession of interminable life.(SYMBOLISM OF ETERNITY)eternity is often symbolized by the image of a snake swallowing its own tail known as ouroboros 113px-Ouroboros.png the circle is also commonly used as a symbol of eternity, as is the mathematical symbol of infinity. Another symbol here is(ENDLESS KNOT) 99px-EndlessKnot03d.png. Another symbol is(INFINITY SYMBOL VARIATION). 159px-Infinity_symbol.svg.png. Another symbol is Georgin_François,_The_3_Roads_to_Eternity,_1825_Cornell_CUL_PJM_1040_01.jpg.
