The scripture you cited above has got nothing to do with the article in question, that scripture was addressing something else, in fact, it was talking about asking amidst and not receiving answer, if you are a true Christian, your motives will not be in line with what James referred to, rather your motives will be driven towards the things that will bless and edify the soul.
