"In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
Life and its situations can be very weary. At times, everything moves smoothly and other times, things could go other ways. To everything, there is time and seasons and definitely seasons come and go. In every life's circumstances, whether good or not, give thanks and never stay lugubrious. Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ told us in John 16:33 that "...In the world ye shall have tribulations: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." However, Jesus never said we won't face problems but contrarily, we should be of good cheer for we are winners already.
The idea of smiling even when bad things happen might sound odd but it's really the best thing to do. Our Lord's bondservant James wrote to us that we should "...count it all joy when ye [we] fall into divers temptations;
Knowing this, that the trying of your [our] faith worketh patience.
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye [we] may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." (James 1: 2-4) This implies that anything we are facing or passing through has an hidden agenda and lesson to teach us. Do not let anxiety, fear or sadness rub you off these lessons. Our Lord Jesus has told us not to be anxious for anything and we must heed His call. Keep the enemies off balance by praising the Lord Jesus in every circumstances whether good or not.
May the Lord Himself, the Lord of lords gives us His Spirit so that we can learn to be patient and always rejoice in His Hope, Amen.
I have written the same blog post on my blog. You can check it out via https://jameslads.blogspot.com/2018/09/be-happy-and-rejoice-always-in-every.html?m=1
Give thanks IN all circumstances. You don't have to give thanks FOR all circumstances. When my first wife died I was still thankful but I wasn't thanking God for her death.
