Mommy, why baby Jesus was born in a stable?

A couple of days ago I was shopping at the nearest shop to my home. After I took what I needed I went walking into the Christmas decoration district when suddenly my foot kicked a cardboard box who was left in the middle of the floor. After a closer look, I have noticed it was a box of figures representing the nativity scene. Wow, I was so glad! I had been looking for it in other stores for a few weeks but I couldn't find it. I picked it up quickly then I asked the staff if there were others box because this was open, and he answered me this it is the LAST box and it's at a discount, nice price about 10 bucks. I took this box like it was a special gift for me.

Arrived at home, I started to search my house for things I could use to built a homemade stable. The whole idea was to surprise my little one. So I took a cardboard, skewer, paper straw, and my stable was ready in less than 30 minutes. The next day I showed it to my little girl, the stable with the figures found in the box. She looked at those little figures with a wide smile on her face: "Wow, mommy, it is so beautiful!" Beside, she already recognized all the faces and even know the dialog between them, because we used to watch together the story of Jesus. She began to play with them, enjoying that all biblical characters began to catch life in her little stable. Immediately she start playing and let her imagination going into the story of Jesus, talking like a narrator:

"Mommy look at shepherds with sheep, look at the angel... o, and there is the little baby Jesus!" Then she took the angel in one hand and kept Mary in other hand, face to face, saying: "Mary don't be afraid, OK? You will have baby, OK?" and continued to play for a long time. At one point she stopped and said with a serious voice: "Mommy, why did Jesus has to be born with animals in the stable? Didn't He has a room like me?" I thought I would give her a simple and quick answer, but after some thinking her question become very interesting and profound.

So, why was the Savior and King born in a place surrounded by animals? For sure, the Son of God deserved a high-profile birth in the most elegant of surroundings. Instead, God’s own Son made His appearance on earth in the most unfavorable circumstances. This is a strong message to His creation: the transcendent God condescended to come to us. Instead of coming to earth as a, privileged ruler, Jesus was born like one of us. He wanted to show us He is approachable and accessible to all of us. Not wearing a crown into a fancy palace and guards to prevent our approach. The Son of God came humbly, and His first home was a manger with animals.

Could this mean that no matter how smelly, dirty and noisy your life is, Jesus wants to make His home in your life, and don’t have to clean it up first, before you invite Him in?

I leaned over this two little eyes waiting for an answer. To explain this profoundly message , I said:* "a long time ago when a prince was born in the palace, he could not be visited by anyone, only by those who had royal blood, because
a prince was protected by the guards. But God wanted the king Jesus to be born in a stable because there was no restriction, anyone who wanted to see Him could do this, and everyone was invited to his birthday to celebrate, even the shepherds with no gifts and curious animals, as wealthy wise men as well. Everybody was welcome at Jesus' birthday!*

Wow, mommy, that's so nice...!
