Good Morning Devotion :-)❤️

in christianity •  7 years ago  (edited)

I'm afraid I often wait like Abraham did, trying to "help" God along.

Not content to trust that Sarah would bear the promised child, he takes Hagar as his wife.

He tells Sarah twice to say she is his sister to avoid the possibility that he might be killed. He essentially is giving Sarah away.

When God told Abraham and Sarah they would have a child the following year. Abraham asks God if Ishmael can be the promised child instead.

It's all about our gracious God. He loves us despite our less than perfect "waiting".

Very well said @space88. Waiting upon the Lord sometimes keeps us closer and more intimate with Him :-) and makes us more trusting in His plan and will for us :-) God bless and thank you for dropping by :-)
