By faith we learn to thank God and give him glory in all situations and at all times. When times are good, when times are hard, when the road is smooth, when the journey is rough and hard... No matter the circumstances we must give God thanks at all times and for all things.
Thanking God by faith means thanking God for things and situations, even though our expectations have not been met, even though the solutions we seek have not been found yet, even though the answers to our heart's desires have not been received. Thanking God by faith hastens the manifestation of our expectations.
Ecclesiastes 3:11
He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
God is able to do abundantly more than we know or are capable of imagining. As believers, we should call forth our expectations as though they are already manifest, and glorify God for them, even though we do not yet see the manifestation of them.
There is nothing too hard for the LORD to do, as we glorify God, he will bring our expectations to pass quickly, as we glorify God, he will show up and surprise us with answers to our prayers, even when we least expect. We therefore must learn to trust God that he will bring his promises concerning us to pass, in our lives, and in his own time. For we know, if any time is a good time, God's time is the best time.
God knows the best time for the manifestation of our expectations, when we trust God and rely on the Holy Spirit to guide us in all we do, and direct us on where to go, and how to operate, when we are spiritually sensitive to the move of God in our lives, God will hasten to bring to pass our hearts desires at the right time.
* Giving glory to God provokes his intervention in the situations, conditions and challenges we are faced with
* Glorifying God before our prayers are answered, or our needs are met, makes God to go all out to make sure we receive our hearts desires.
* Nothing happens until we start glorifying God. Worry cannot change our situations, but prayers bring solutions.
John 6:11
And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.
Jesus glorified God by giving thanks, for the bread that fed 5000 men, even before the visible miracle of feeding took place
John 11:41
So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me.
Jesus gave thanks to God before the miracle of raising Lazarus from the dead.
In 2018, if we are to get the best out of this year, we must start glorifying God from this moment, giving him thanks in all things, and for the wonders he is set to do for us in 2018, and God will surely settle us, and bless us, and bring all our hearts desires to pass speedily, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen!

I did once seriously think of embracing the Christian faith. The gentle figure of Christ, so full of forgiveness that he taught his followers not to retaliate when abused or struck, but to turn the other cheek - I thought it was a beautiful example of the perfect man.
