Against Inerrancy (003), Sons of Abraham

in christianity •  6 years ago  (edited)

How many sons did Abraham have?

According to Hebrews 11:17 and Genesis 22:2, Abraham had only one son whose name was Isaac.

According to Genesis 16:15 and Galatians 4:22 he also had a son named Ishmael.

According to Genesis 25:1-2 he had many sons.

What do these contradicting passages tell us? They tell us the Bible is a self-contradicting human creation. Because the word of God or the word inspired by God had to be without errors. But there are errors. It means the Bible was not inspired by God.

Nonsense. Isaac was his heir so he counts as one son.
