When Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating of
the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, the
Bible says “…the eyes of them both were opened, and they
knew that they were naked...” (Genesis 3:7). Their fall made
them “see” that they were naked, and they became ashamed
and afraid. When God called out to Adam in the Garden, he
replied, “…I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid,
because I was naked; and I hid myself” (Genesis 3:10). The
Lord’s response to him was, “…Who told thee that thou wast
naked?...” (Genesis 3:11).
