WHAT SIN CANNOT DO

Sin as you'll all agree is not a good thing. Even we as humans do not enjoy being wronged talk more or our Heavenly Father. So sin isn't cool, but there are some things that sin cannot do because we have chosen to believe in Christ Jesus, because we are Christians.

1. Sin does not make God condemn us
Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
The thing is being a Christian doesn't exactly shield you from temptation and when you fail, you have sinned. So what happens when a Christian sins? I won't like to get to the 'biochemistry' of it, please permit me to us that term. But God doesn't condemn you when you sin.
Throughout Jesus' lifetime he never for once condemn anyone, and those were unbelievers, is it now you a believer he will condemn? Besides, it's in the Bible, there is no condemnation for or to you because you sinned.
This doesn't mean God is by any means happy when you sin, no not at all, he doesn't like it but he starts seeking for you to repent and come back to him
In addition, man people believe sin takes God's presence away from them, no no no, rather sin takes you out of God's presence. You and not God leaves!!!
Yes, sin takes away that peace of mind you have, that joy unspeakable but God doesn't try to make you feel guilty, rather he tries to make you come back to him. Romans 8:33-34
Who will accuse God’s elect? It is God who justifies!

34 Who is the one to condemn? It is the Messiah Jesus who is interceding on our behalf. He died, and more importantly, has been raised and is seated at the right hand of God.

2. Sin doesn't stop God from being good to you or from loving you.
We all must understand that God is good to us because it's his nature and not because of our actions. Someone puts it this way; God blesses us because of our status and not because of our feeling. Our status is permanent- we are saved, we are Christians but our feelings change, sometimes we feel so 'perfect' or 'holy'and other times we feel so depressed and rejected. Praise God!!!

Romans 8: 35-39
Who will separate us from the Messiah’s love? Can trouble, distress, persecution, hunger, nakedness, danger, or a violent death do this?

36 As it is written, “For your sake we are being put to death all day long. We are thought of as sheep headed for slaughter.”

37 In all these things we are triumphantly victorious due to the one who loved us.

38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,

39 nor anything above, nor anything below, nor anything else in all creation can separate us from the love of God that is ours in union with the Messiah Jesus, our Lord.
So you see, nothing can separate you from God's love, nothing can make God to stop loving you, not even sin. His love for you is unconditional, unstoppable and unlimited.

1. Sin does not undo your Christianity.
   Your status in Christ is permanent. Sin cannot change that. You have been saved, sin cannot unsafe you. Because you sinned today does not make you any less a Christian.

Now, what do we take from all of these? What's the lesson?

1. Stop judging and condemning. Since you know God doesn't condemn you why should you condemn others? Why should you even feel like you are better than someone else just because the person did something wrong or sinned? Question for meditation, how will you feel if your pastor was caught in a 'serious' sin? Happy that they finally caught him or sorry that he wasn't able to resist and overcome the temptation?

2. No more guilty conscience or sinned consciousness. If I may ask, how many people will make heaven here?
   I'm sure you are already doing a quick survey of your recent sins. You should be confident of your salvation, it's what qualifies you for heaven as I have always said, more people will make heaven than we all anticipate.

So stop allowing devil make you feel guilty, it's his job stop making him good at it. When you fall into sin, ask God immediately for forgiveness and keep on bubbling in Christ. Don't allow yourself together condemned by the devil, it'll only lead to more sin.
Some of us are like 'I'll still sin so why bother asking for forgiveness now?' you should bother because it is robbing you of your blessings in Christ.
I pray God will help us all.

Let us pray. Father, we thank you for tonight and we ask that you help us to keep these words in our hearts so that we may not sin against you. We ask that you keep helping us conform into the image of you, in Jesus name we have prayed, Amen.
