The festivities are well underway for us! We had a gift exchange with some of the neighbor kids and we already opened our gifts and stockings from each other as a family of 4!
Next comes my extended family tonight, and my wife's extended family tomorrow. A busy time for sure, but we are fortunate to have most all of our families close by, so the farthest we have to drive is 60 miles to celebrate Christmas with our friends and family.
Jacob is thoroughly enjoying all of the gift giving! He has loved receiving a bunch of gifts already, but perhaps the highlight is how excited he was to give Kendra her gift that he picked out - a purple cat stuffed animal! Here are some pictures for my Steemit friends:
All I can say is that we realized we are blessed and we try to live as gratefully and humbly as possible, while being generous to others who may not be as fortunate as us. We also aim to actively remember the reason for the Christmas season ;)
