The first book of the new Testament has recorded the event about Jesus knocking at the door while he was still in the womb but was rejected. Christmas is about Christ knocking at the door of our houses and our lives.
The last book of the new testament has recorded about Jesus knocking at the door of a church (Revelation 3:20)
So It doesn't really matter what season we are in or what occasion we are celebrating. God is always knocking at our doors.
But if we highlight Christmas, I think what Christmas season is suggesting
is more of opening our doors for the LORD than just opening more Christmas gifts.
