God created us! He breathed His breath of life into us to make us a living soul.
We are all God’s creation, and He owns the life in us. It is wrong to believe that you owns your life and that you can live it anyhow.
If you live your life as you like it will lead you to where you will never like. You have to realize the fact that God created you for a specific reason. God has a mandate for your life, a task that you are here to perform. If your life is not glorifying God that means you are living a wasted life, which will later make you a waste product. A life God is expecting us to live is a life that pleases him. A voice came out of the cloud and says “This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him” (Matthew 17:5). God was the one speaking about Jesus, telling us three major significant things
• This is my beloved son
• In whom I am well pleased
• Hear he Him
Before God could say these three things about Jesus, in Matthew 17:2 Jesus was first of all transfigured. The word ‘transfigured’ means to transform or change into something more beautiful or spiritual. Therefore, you must understand and let it be clear to you that your life is not a perfect life or a life worthy of emulation if you still lack beauty or spirituality. You may be a son of God, but if you are not a beloved son as mentioned in that Matthew 17:5, you are not yet complete. Therefore, you must become more for God by going into a high mountain apart (KJV Matthew 17:1). Jesus and his disciple had to struggle when climbing the high mountain. You too must strive for perfection (Heb.6:1) that is when your behaviour and actions will become right before God, He will transform you. After this He will commend you as His beloved and be pleased with you. He will also command the entire world to hear you. This means that you will become an irresistible voice to the nations.
Is God well pleased with the way you dress; is your actions pleasing unto Him? Your words, relationship with others and total way of life, what can God say about them? If you have positive answers to these questions, then your life has been transfigured. But if not, you are not worthy before God, not minding what people think or say about you. You must start living a life that is pleasant to God; a life that is dead to pleasures; a life that carries God’s mark; a life, free from SIDS and SIV. Be wise! Live a right life. Remember that you have only one life to live. If you fail to live it right, you will solely regret it. But if you live a life worthy of living (life that pleases the Lord) although it may not be easy at first, you may face many challenges and tribulations, but it’s a sacrifice you must pay to be acceptable by God. Knowing that you’re not the owner of your life, why don’t you surrender it to the one who owns it in totality and completely.
