City of Lidzbark Warmiński

Lidzbark Warmiński is a beautiful place located in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, on the route no. 51, near Dobre Miasto, on the Łyna River.

Lidzbark itself, as well as its picturesque surroundings lie in one of the most beautiful and interesting corners of our country, in the area of the so-called "Green Lungs of Poland". This is done by beautiful landscapes dotted with moraine hills, lakes and mushroom-rich forests cut by winding rivers.

Lidzbark as a city was founded in the fourteenth century, on the rivers Łyna and Symsarna, soon to become the capital of Warmia and the seat of the bishops of Warmia.

To this day, wonderful monuments have been preserved here - souvenirs of the city's rich past, and among them the magnificent Gothic castle of the Warmian bishops, which is the highest-class national monument. It remains in great condition and is one of the elements of the Gothic Castles Trail.

An unquestionable advantage of Lidzbark is also the unusually clean nature with which you can commune here on a daily basis, meeting rare species of flora and fauna. Getting to know the city and the surrounding area is easier thanks to marked hiking and cycling trails, and even kayak trails, which are a real pleasure and an interesting adventure.

Among the surrounding lakes, the largest are: Lake Blanki (Gajlickie), Lake Symsar and Lake Wielochowskie. They all abound in fish, including zander, bream, pike and eel, which attracts anglers. In this area there were also agritourism farms, whose owners make sure that the tourists do not run out of the greatest goods of this land.
