Well, Spencer Pratt (and men everywhere), your wish has finally become a reality. Scientists developed a birth control shot that works like the pill does for women. The shot is 96 percent effective at preventing pregnancies, which means it's better than condoms (by a long shot) and a little less effective than birth control pills.
While this is exciting news, it's unlikely these shots will be available anytime soon. Scientists ended the research trial early after 20 men dropped out because of side effects, including depression, acne, and increased libido. These side effects were deemed unacceptable, but women who have taken the pill know it can come with plenty of downsides. Plus, three in four men in the study said they would get the shot in the future.
Really interesting post! It's great to see some advances in the pharmaceutical industry, especially in themes like this.
