Considering the popularity of the first one, it was unavoidable that a Despicable Me 2 would come. And thankfully so: it was a riot.
Despite his retiring to care for his daughters, Gru is recruited (by force) by the AVL (Anti-Vilain League) to find who stole (with a giant magnet) a dangerous new serum from a secret lab in the Arctic. He might me hiding is a mall nearby...
Yet another good movie aimed at children that's just what it's meant to be: entertaining. The minions are back, and I believe that where their obession with bananas starts. They're as childish as even, even in the post-credit scene.
As for the scenario, don't expect something very deep. And yet, the situations where he and Lucy (from the AVL) try to escape from are hilarious, especially in the mall. Or the restaurant with the "date"
In short, Despicable Me 2 comes from a time (just 10 years ago) when entertainment was just that, not woke indoctrination. It's refreshing
