My Travel to City of Doha

On the coast of the Persian Gulf lies the city of Doha - the capital of the Arab Emirate of Qatar and the largest settlement in the country. Almost half of the country's inhabitants live on its territory, including the suburbs. Within the boundaries of Doha, there is an international airport connecting the city with many countries of the world.

The history of the city began in 1850. The settlement was founded under the name Al-Bida. In its vicinity in 1883, a major battle took place between the military formations of Sheikh Qassim and the Turkish army. Doha became the capital of Qatar under the British protectorate in 1916. After the country gained independence, the city became the capital of a free state.

In the old days, emigrants did not have the right to have their own land plots. Over time, the situation has changed in a positive direction for them. Former foreigners are now allowed to acquire land plots for private ownership in some urban areas.

In Doha, industries such as fish and oil are highly developed. Recently, the tourism sector has begun to actively develop. Based on the fact that the city, like the entire Arabian Peninsula, is dominated by a hot tropical climate, tourists should choose the most favorable months to travel to Doha. These are the periods from September to October and from April to May.

The most popular city attraction is the National Museum, located in the building of the former palace of Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammed. A huge two-level aquarium attracts attention. Its upper part is inhabited by representatives of coastal waters. While in the lower level you can see the underwater inhabitants of the Persian Gulf.
