In this post I wanted to show you one of the greatest wonders of Barcelona that is none other than the statue of Christopher Columbus.
The statue of Christopher Columbus is located in the center of Barcelona. I had the opportunity to see this statue, when in 2017 I took part in the European championship that was organized in Barcelona. The statue is so tall that it gives you the impression that it is touching the sky. Around the statue of Christopher Columbus there are dragons and under the dragons there are angels. This combination is very strange but also very beautiful, when I asked, why this strange combination? Some citizens have answered me that the statue of Christopher Columbus is very precious for Spain and so the strange combination means that the statue is protected by both God and devil. I immediately understood the importance that this statue had for the Spanish people. I thought it was a wonderful thing to have something so precious that you want to protect it, not only with the help of God but also with the help of the devil. It really amazed me.
The statue of Christopher Columbus is one of the most beautiful sightseeing that I have had the opportunity to visit in my sport travels. So I wanted to share this beauty with all of you.
