A visit to LEGO room

IMG_9869.JPG

Today we visited the shopping center. Our main goal was the LEGO room. My oldest son got to talking to the owner of the room and showed him cartoons of his production. The owner of the room was very excited and offered the young animator an order for an advertising video. The son took everything in the cool manner.

The new generation looks at everything differently than we do

Если будешь с ними в Питере, то очень рекомендую сходить в Грандмакет.

Питер - прикольно, но дорого(((((

Ну да ( по России ездить так же дорого, как и заграницу

My son's first stop-motion films were with lego. He spent 10 years routinely building Lego Techno with his grandfather to improve his motoric skills. Lego is one of those play things that I thought helped to bring generations together so that we might see the world in a similar way.
When you say that the younger generation sees the world differently, might you mean the ease with which they go up to chat to strangers and exhange ideas casually: my son did that too, as of an early age, cool as a cucumber, seemingly unimpressed, levelling the playing field always. I wrote it off to his Autism, but it might well be something more generic. Is it a good thing? It can feel a little low on respect, attention/patience and engagement to me. Is it though?

I'm glad to read such simple and kind words! Very nice to meet such a person.
Thank you for visit and your attention.
God bless your son!
