I know an app called something like „tiny planet“ or so that can create a similar effect from an existing photo!

yes, apps like that exist. You need a panoramic like picture...or at least something with edges that could blend. But it somehow distorts the sky more than with a 360 camera. But an app could give a similar effect and is worth experimenting with!

I liked the most two works from the series #cityscapephotography: the first - "My Tiny Planets #16: Grand Canal Docks, Dublin" by @r00sj3 - airiness and an unusual photo format, and the second "DUBAI SKYSCRAPER" by @katiepals - a fantastic view.

I like the Vigo street shot, I didnt like the "my tiny planets" one made me feel funny,

How do you judge the competition Ive entered a few differnt styles and never get anywhere??https://steemit.com/cityscapephotography/@djh/south-korean-sunrise this weeks entry was edgy and last weeks glitzy https://steemit.com/cityscapephotography/@djh/kuala-lumpur-skyline Just curious as how I can improve, im loving the competions as it makes me think more rather than just wait for something to catch my eye or Lens:-)

Thanks @kunschj it was the second day of month we had clear skies and some sun (until noon, haha). I was shooting elsewhere and took a detour on my way home as I knew it was ”now or never” kind of moment for that shot.

I’m really glad I took it!

In my humble opinion (not like anyone asked, lol) is the first one. Once I get another backup camera I'll take the plunge and convert it for infrared photography.

It'll give me another reason to get outside and shoot - which can be the hardest part of photography - actually getting outside!

Ballpark estimate around $300 usd.

And in the immortal words of Balki Bartokomous - of course I'm already shooting full frame - don't be ridiculous. 🤑
