#cityscapephotography - Looking at the Kornyakt Tower

A common feature of all these photographs taken on the street of Pamva Berinda in the central part of Lviv is that in the background there is a tower of the Assumption Church or the Kornyakt Tower - as it is called. The Kornyakt Tower was named after the Lviv merchant of Greek origin, Konstantin Kornyakt, who funded the construction of the tower in the years 1572-1578. This is how Lviv's city views unite modernity and antiquity, especially with regard to the first photo where tram is goes.

Спільної особливістю усіх цих фотографій, зроблених на вулиці Памви Беринди у центральній частині Львова, є те, що на задньому фоні видно вежу Успенської церкви або вежу Корнякта - як її ще називають. Вежа Корнякта отримала назву на честь львівського купця грецького походження Костянтина Корнякта, який профінансував будівництво вежі у 1572-1578 роках. Ось так міські краєвиди Львова поєднують сучасність та старовину, особливо це стосується першого фото, де їде трамвай.
